PRIORAT, THE ECHO OF CALM
Unwind tonight in the rustic flair of the arid Priorat landscape. Welcome to Terra Dominicata, an ode to tranquility and good wine. If in its monastic past these “lands under the domain of a lord” (the Latin translation of his name) were carved by a hundred peasant families, now design dominates every corner. We did not come up to here randomly, but with a purpose; to absorb the raison d’être of these worldwide highly reputed wines and family Vives’ project is the best start.

PRIORAT IN FULL
The origins of Priorat are at a mere 0.6 miles from our hotel, at the Carthusian Monastery of Santa Maria d’Escaladei, founded in the 12th century and considered to be the first charter-house on the Iberian Peninsula. During seven centuries the monks developed farming techniques and planted vineyards.
After this short historical introduction we’ll focus on wine visiting two well renowned wineries, tasting some of their most desired wines and enjoying a rustic lunch at our best friend cozy bodega.
Tonight’s time is yours, enjoy the pleasure of doing nothing or keep exploring some of the restaurants in the area.

Barcelona developed to the most important harbor in the western Mediterranean. The gothic cathedral of La Seu is the greatest example for the architecture of that era. The actual Barri Gotic stretches from Placa Catalunya to Port Vell (the old port).
